If you don’t have a theme for your kidsbirthdayparties, you don’t have much to go on, but that doesn’t mean filling a favor bag has to be hard. You do have to be sure you get some that are for girls and some that are for boys. Though both will like some of the same things, there are different things made just for each. You could add some play rings and necklaces for the girls, and perhaps some matchbox size cars for the boys. Those things seem cliché, but they work and are often just right for both. Also remember to limit the amount of sugar you include. Many parents are not thrilled to see a favor bag full of candy. A few pieces is usually fine though.

If you give them out during the party, you do run the risk of the children losing interest in the party and diving into the bags. That is why most prefer to give them out at the end of the party. That way the children are participating in the party, and they have something to do on the way home after a long day. They also have less of a chance of losing half of what is in the bag.
